I started doing freelance in social media, marketing and public relations my last semester of college on a project basis. Projects I worked on included blog writing, social media research and some media pitching.

As a student worker, I assisted in marketing, social media and web content efforts under the division of Governmental Relations & University Communications at the University of Cincinnati.

 

Intern - UC Magazine

I helped with a project to update an important portion of UC Magazine's website. This portion includes a campus map tour with videos in english and multiple other languages, campus shots and an interactive map.

 

Intern - Department of Communication, University of Cincinnati

My job was to interview and write posts about alumni for the department's blog in anticipation for their 50th Anniversary Celebration during October 2014.

 

Communication Intern - Beyond the Trees LLC

I planned social media strategies for the platforms they used and new ones.  I also added more content to their pinterest page, which helped grow their website page views.

 

PR Intern - Esquire, Mariemont, and Kenwood Theatres

I planned movie events at the theaters by putting up posters, getting contacts, etc.  I also helped start an employee incentive program at the theaters.

​At my job, I took orders, served customers their food, packed their to-go meals, delivered catering orders, stocked the restaurant, cleaned and took care of guests with anything they needed.

 

Animal Experience Specialist 1 - Newport Aquarium

At the Newport Aquarium, I worked within the exhibits and talked to guests about the animals and answered any questions they had.

 

Server - Kentucky Fried Chicken

I prepared orders, packaged food and served them to guests. I also did any prep or cleaning that had to be completed.

 

Paper Carrier - The Suburban Press

For my very first job, I delivered a local paper once a week and collected once a month.  This job was very rewarding for me because it was my first job and it made me understand the value of hard work.
